In june 2003, the record label BMG Arista publish The complete collection, that is a collection box containing all Lisa Stansfield’s albums, published until then, in remastered edition and digipack, except Big thing of the Blue zone and Swing, the soundtrack of the movie. In comparison with the original editions, all the albums contain numerous bonus tracks and unpublished works, in all 92 tracks.
In addition to the five studio albums, The complete collection also includes a sixth extra CD, entitled Live rare mixed that includes a series of rare tracks, unpublished or little know, consisting of some Blue zone’s songs, some b- sides, and some live recordings.
It’s an unmissable box set for the collectors, released only in UK, but readily available on the web. It’s a unique opportunity to get your hands on a Lisa Stansfield’s omnia mini-opera, above all it allows you to hear a series of songs.
As mentioned initially, the box doesn’t include Big Thing and Swing, probably for economic and market reasons, and this is the only flaw because the collection is excellent. Swing was repeated in part with a new look.
Something is missing in the booklet of this accurately product, for example some unpublished photos and a short biography of the artist, but finally it remains an high level product with a maximum grade.
